Naor Refael Uzan - Hand Embellished Prints - Refaelozart

In 1978 Naor Refael Uzan, was born in the small town of Nahariya located in the northern section of Israel. Throughout his life, Refael has always been fascinated by the beauty of art and its portrayal through the visions of others. With only pencils and charcoal, he began sketching and was painting by the age of 14.

 

In 2003, Refael travelled to Madrid, Spain where he lived for 2 years in pursuit of his aspiration to work with other artist of diverse backgrounds. Refael joined the Madrid’s street art scene well known for its impressive works of art. It is also frequently visited by people from all over the world. In 2004, he exhibited his first works on Alcala Street. Alcala Street serves as the most significant and the longest of the street art attractions. Since, Refael has exhibited his works in the Art Center Miami, the West Palm Beach Home Show and the San Diego Art Gallery in California.

 

His distinctive personal style emanates truth, positive energy and expresses the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of his visions. The artist brings an extensive mastery of color theory, innate sense of rhythm, and compositional elements to each piece. As an abstract painter, he is an optical illusionist whose art defies creative limitations. His art is visual poetry bursting forth with relentless energetic expression.

 

His usage of mixed media & techniques includes mostly finger tips and brushes. In many of his painting an eye is visible, as he is convinced that the eye represents the astonishing meaning of seeing truth.

In the creation of hand embellished giclee prints, Refael applies a unique touch. By painting or drawing in areas of choice to add texture using sand and diamond dust fashioning the giclee to look even more like an original. Every embellished giclee is a one-of-a-kind unique piece of artwork.
